SQLBenchmarkPro requires activation prior to use. The SQLBenchmarkPro Browser user interface will operate and allow you to browse repository databases prior to activation but trace activity cannot be performed by the Trace Controller Service until the product is activated.
SQLBenchmarkPro can be activated for trial usage on a 30 day basis without purchase by using a Trialware Activation Key (obtained via email after downloading from http://www.SQLBenchmarkPro.com) or fully activated after purchasing the product. In either case, activation is performed by right clicking on the Trace Controller Service node in the SQLBenchmarkPro Browser user interface and selecting the "Activate Service" menu option as displayed below:
Another dialog will appear, asking you to activate either the Trialware period or fully activate the SQLBenchmarkPro product. Enter the appropriate key and either click the "Online Activation" button if you have an internet connection or click the "Email Activation" button if you do not have an internet connection. Online activation will activate your product immediately, whilst Email activation will require you to send an email and await a response from GAJSoftware, so online activation will usually be the faster option.
If you select "Online Activation", the SQLBenchmarkPro Browser will post your Trial Activation Key to our online activation server and a confirmation response should be received immediately as follows:
Your SQLBenchmarkPro Browser should now display the Trace Controller Service as activated, with the number of days remaining as follows:
If you select "Email Activation", the SQLBenchmarkPro Browser will open another dialog with a digital signature which you can copy and email to support@GAJSoftware.com, using 'Activate Trial' as a Subject Line:
If you choose the Email Activation method, you will need to wait for a response from the GAJSoftware email server with a return digital signature which you paste into the lower input box on the dialog and click 'Activate' to complete the Trialware Activation.
Full activation of the product is a virtually identical process to that of activating the Trialware, but it is important that you use the correct key for product activation and trialware activation. Trialware activation keys are typically emailed to you at the time you download the trialware copy of SQLBenchmarkPro from www.SQLBenchmarkPro.com and full product activation keys are emailed to you at the time of purchase. Note also that each key can only be used to activate a single machine but additional keys can be requested from GAJSoftware by emailing requests to support@GAJSoftware.com.
